Welcome to Hopeful Horizons Holistic Psychotherapy
Trauma-informed therapy for adults seeking grounded, compassionate support for emotional and relational well-being.
About Valeska
Welcome to Hopeful Horizons Holistic Psychotherapy - I’m Valeska, and I’m so glad you’re here. I believe healing is both soft and courageous: a mix of deep self-compassion, clear insight, nervous-system wisdom, and the kind of honesty that gently calls you back to yourself. My work sits at the intersection of trauma-informed care, emotional attunement, and mind-body connection.
Whether you identify as highly sensitive, neurodivergent, intuitive, overwhelmed, or simply tired of carrying everything alone, my space is designed to feel grounding, non-judgmental, and human. I help people untangle anxiety and stress, rebuild self-trust, navigate identity wounds, heal relationship patterns, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with who they truly are beneath the coping.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and real - part therapist, part warmth, part accountability. Together, we slow down enough to understand what your body has been trying to say, and we build the tools you need to move forward feeling steadier, braver, and more whole.
Why choose to work with me?
Because you deserve support that sees all of you - not just your symptoms.
I specialize in working with people who feel deeply, think intensely, and carry more than they ever let others see. Whether it’s anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, burnout, chronic overwhelm, relationship patterns, or simply trying to exist as a highly sensitive or neurodivergent human in a loud world - I honour the complexity of your experience.
Working with me means having a therapist who:
doesn’t judge your coping mechanisms
helps you connect the dots without shaming you
creates a space where sensitivity is strength
supports your healing without pushing you past your capacity
values clarity, autonomy, and emotional safety
holds both the depth and the humour of being human
Together, we work at the pace your body can handle - with warmth, realness, and a deep respect for your lived experience.
You don’t need to show up perfect. You just need to show up as you are.

At Hopeful Horizons Holistic Psychotherapy, my work is integrative, meaning we look at the whole picture - not just thoughts or behaviors in isolation. We explore how experiences are held in both the mind and the body, allowing insight and nervous system awareness to work together. This approach supports deeper, more lasting change while honoring the wisdom and signals of your body along the way.
I blend somatic therapy, trauma-informed parts work, attachment theory, EFT, mindfulness, and more to help you understand your emotions, regulate your nervous system, build boundaries that actually protect you, and reconnect with the parts of yourself you had to hide to survive.
In therapy, you can expect:
A paced, collaborative process that prioritizes safety and choice
Attention to the nervous system, recognizing how stress and past experiences show up in the body
A compassionate, non-pathologizing lens that honors sensitivity, neurodivergence, and emotional depth
Integration of mind and body, not just talking through experiences
Curiosity over judgment, supporting insight without pressure to “fix” yourself
Respect for your autonomy, including what we explore and when
This approach allows therapy to unfold in a way that feels supportive, grounding, and responsive - rather than rushed or overwhelming.
My Approach to Therapy
