Sometimes love needs a translator.
You’re not broken. You’re just stuck in a cycle. Let’s shift the pattern — together.
COUPLES & FAMILY THERAPY
My couples and family work is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to what your relationship needs. We look at the emotional and nervous system patterns between you — the dynamics that get triggered, the protective roles you both play, and the deeper needs or fears underneath the surface. Think of this work as helping you become fluent in each other’s emotional language. Just like with my individual clients, I integrate somatic awareness, inner parts work (like IFS), trauma-informed care, and a strong dose of compassion. I also pay attention to what’s unspoken — body language, tone, silence — and help you both feel more seen, not just heard. We’ll go at your pace. No shame, no assumptions, no forcing connection. Just space to explore what’s really going on beneath the arguments, disconnection, or silence — and to find your way back to each other with honesty, trust, and tenderness.
What You'll Learn & Practice
Couples & Family therapy with me isn’t just about conflict resolution (though we’ll definitely work on that!). It’s about cultivating emotional fluency, secure connection, and relational resilience. Together, you’ll learn to:
Understand your unique communication styles and nervous system responses.
De-escalate conflict and shift from blame to curiosity.
Identify protective patterns that create distance — and what they’re really trying to protect.
Build trust by repairing ruptures and learning to attune to each other.
Foster intimacy — emotional, physical, and spiritual — in ways that feel safe and nourishing.
Navigate external stressors (parenting, work, family) without turning on each other.
Create rituals of connection that help your relationship feel like a refuge, not another source of stress.
Couples & Family therapy isn’t just for those in crisis — it’s for partners and individuals who want to understand each other more deeply, repair ruptures, grow together, and navigate life’s challenges with more grace. It’s for those who:
Feel like they keep having the same argument on loop and can’t find their way out of it.
Long for deeper intimacy — emotional, physical, or sexual — but aren’t sure how to get there.
Struggle with miscommunication, conflict, or feeling misunderstood.
Are navigating life transitions — parenthood, career changes, relocation, loss — and want support staying connected through it.
Want to rebuild trust after a rupture or betrayal.
Are feeling distant, more like roommates than romantic partners, and want to find their way back.
Are exploring non-monogamy, long-distance, or other non-traditional relationship structures.
One or both partners are neurodivergent or highly sensitive, and it impacts how they connect and communicate.
Are in a good place, and want to do preventative, growth-focused work — because love is a living thing, and tending to it matters.
WHO IS IT FOR?
WHAT SESSIONS LOOK LIKE?
Couples therapy with me is structured to help you both feel seen, heard, and supported — from the very first session
All couples sessions are 50 minutes long.
Rate for couples sessions: $215 CAD per session.
Initial individual sessions are also 50 minutes, billed at $160 CAD per person.
All sessions are currently offered virtually (based on availability).
You don’t have to have it all figured out before you show up. We’ll set intentions together and work at a pace that honours your nervous system, your needs, and your story.
Sometimes you’ll laugh. Sometimes you’ll cry. Sometimes we’ll sit in silence for a few breaths to let something settle. It’s all welcome here.
WHAT TO EXPECT
1. Initial Couples Session (Together)
We begin with a 50-minute session together. This is where we name your shared goals, explore your relational dynamic, and identify the key areas where support is most needed.
2. Individual Sessions (Separately)
Next, each of you will have a separate 50-minute session with me. These are billed at the individual therapy rate ($160 CAD). This gives each partner space to share their experience, history, and unique needs, which helps me hold the relationship more fully and ethically.
3. Returning to the Couple Space
After we’ve met individually, we resume sessions together. This is where we deepen the work — rebuilding connection, developing better communication tools, unpacking pain points, and tending to the emotional and practical needs of your relationship.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most sessions will be as a couple — that’s where the relational work happens. However, occasional individual check-ins might be helpful if something personal needs space or clarity. These are always discussed collaboratively and ethically, with the relationship’s best interest in mind.
-
Absolutely. I’m affirming of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures. Whether you’re monogamous, exploring non-monogamy, or part of a poly constellation, I’m here to support your unique relationship with care, curiosity, and without judgment.
-
Absolutely. As a neurodivergent therapist, I understand the nuances of living with ADHD and other neurodivergent experiences. Our sessions will honor your unique ways of thinking and processing, providing strategies that align with your strengths.
-
That’s completely normal. One or both partners/parties may come in feeling hesitant, skeptical, or unsure. My job isn’t to force anyone open — it’s to create a space that invites openness. If your partner is willing to show up and stay curious, we can work with that.
That said, therapy isn’t effective when someone is being dragged in against their will. I don’t work with couples where one partner is being coerced to attend — mutual commitment (even if it’s cautious) is essential. -
The duration of therapy varies for each couple or pair. Some clients find a few sessions helpful, while others engage in longer-term work. We'll regularly assess your progress and adjust as needed.
-
My approach is holistic and can incorporate spiritual elements if that resonates with you. Whether you're interested in exploring personal meaning, intuition, or simply seeking a grounded space, we'll tailor the sessions to your preferences.

Yes, I offer a limited number of a variety of sliding scale spots. We can discuss your financial needs during our consultation to find a rate that works for both of us.
